Dhanlaxmi Bank has introduced its Unified Payment Interface (UPI) application, now accessible to all bank customers. This platform allows users to manage multiple bank accounts within a single application, streamlining various banking needs.

The BHIM DLB UPI enhances security measures, ensuring that transactions are conducted with increased protection. Users can link their bank accounts from different institutions, provided those banks operate on the UPI platform. It is crucial to use the same mobile number across all accounts to facilitate seamless transactions throughout India.

Key functionalities of the BHIM DLB UPI include:

• Sending money to friends, family, or other UPI users.
• Receiving funds from those who owe you money.
• Initiating collect requests for payments without direct asking.
• Making payments to merchants using DLB VPA at leading online and e-commerce platforms.
• Utilizing QR codes for payments (Scan N Pay).

Notable features of the BHIM DLB UPI are:

• Consolidation of multiple bank accounts in one application, facilitating bank-to-bank transfers.
• The ability to send money using a virtual ID.
• Options for transferring funds using account number/IFSC, mobile number, or MMID (Mobile Money Identifier).
• The capability to request payments from anyone using the sender's Virtual ID.

The application is designed with enhanced security in mind. Users need not reveal their account details when funding transactions; the Virtual ID provides a layer of confidentiality. This unique identifier, similar to an email address, will be associated with the customer's bank account, protecting sensitive information. The Virtual ID is formatted as a combination of a username and "@bank handle" (e.g., 123@dlb).
